h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

.. was fantastic!!


Okey dokey then, let's start at the very beginning .. .. a very good place to start..

Hubby and I had the company of Virtuouschuffed and her Hubby (V)for the weekend, as it is V's 40th Birthday this week, the trip to London was a combined birthday treat for him too!

On the Friday evening we were joined by:

B'Elana
Icy North
The liquid warrior
'Mazing Mad Fiddler

and, bless his cotton socks.. Alex 'Tufty' Ashman ]

It was chocka-block in the Anchor. Taking the men aaages to get served, in fact, it was about 40 minutes before I managed to say hello to Icy, he was stuck bar all that time!

It is believed that Moonhogg (Captain Coffee Break) may have snuck in, as the 3 packets of Doritos, supplied by MMF, dwindled down to 1 by the end of the evening.. We even have a blurry photo of a pint and a packet, but the Captain Coffee Break is just too fast for us to catch him on camera!

As busy as it was, our Meet was fun! We all had a good laugh until, sadly, Icy North and The liquid warrior had to make their way home.. (please don't ask for the times, that would be silly)

VC and her Hubby went for a walk before they retired to bed.. and a little later B'Elana left in the company of Alex, for the tube.

Then, MMF received a text message: "are you still there?"... It was Phil!!.. He had been passed us twice and was outside!!

So the evening carried on a while longer.... *hic*


Saturday:

We, (VC, V, Hubby and I) set off for the Shakespeare's Head at about 3.30pm. After wandering around for a bit, we found 2legs and Roymondo!!! After searching for our alcove (table 42) it eventually became free.. and we all piled in there!

About 5-ish, IMSoP arrived, then ReddyFreddy - he volunteered to inflate Ivan the Terribly Average kangaroo - Okay, we had some fun with that, as you will never guess where the valve is to inflate it!!!

Then, we had the pleasure of the arrival of Azathoth.. with Alex following shortly afterwards.

We had our own little Meet until the others arrived from Kew.. for the full list of names, you will have to read B'Elana's article in this week!!

Ivan managed to make his presence felt and eventually it was time to deflate him... this caused more comments than when we blew him up!!

I am not going to say much more, as B'Elana has been working hard at her article and it wouldn't be fair on her to say much more.

It was lovely to meet up with old friends again.. and meeting others I only knew by Tag names.. It is wonderful to put faces to all those names!.. Galaxy Babe!! What a lovely greeting!!!

Roymondo! I love your cuddles too!!

My friend Bel.. such a pity we are so far apart in geographical terms I am missing you already!!
