Coming up on 104... I wonder what I could be counting down to?

I have been dreading today for quite some time because, let's face it, I'm the dreading type. I didn't so much have a busy schedule as one that was full of relatively important type things. And that scared me, because I'm still trying to get back on track from that week I missed (though I've mostly finished all that), and thus am still constantly behind even before I start something.

I'm getting better, though.

So. Today ran thus:

10.30 am, tv studio. I had to go in to play the pieces I'd prepared. Not for recording, just for the producers to decide if there was a place for them in the thingie. Which there was, I'm happy to say. I'm also still not sure if I get paid, but I *do* get my name in the credits, and that ROCKS. That's resume material. That went well, despite the fact I've hardly had time to practice those pieces lately, despite wanting to. The producers (except one) are much older, and are just so glad to *be* there that I think they just enjoy music and all that... they're nice people.

12.30 pm, philosophy exam. I was scared to death of this, and I don't know why. I think perhaps it had something to do with the way that the professor stressed *how* to write the essays - like, thesis sentence first and all that. The English major in me screamed "you grammar idiot!!!" but I did as he asked. HANDWROTE 6 pages of essays, which isn't that much really, but considering I rarely ever handwrite anywhere near that much, that's quite a pile. I think I did alright... though I always worry that I never go quite far enough with my answers. We'll find out on Thing.

2 pm, flute lesson. Never really a biggie, but Leslie is a slave driver. Made me do three octave C# major, minor (harmonic, melodic, and natural) and D major and minor (harmonic, melodic, and natural) scales... flutes aren't really *supposed* to go that high. But they finally are coming out, which is , and I made a lot of improvement on the one piece I'm working on. Go me.

3 pm, rep class. More of the same from flute lesson. There's only three of us, now, which is utterly depressing.

6:30 pm, Shakespeare lecture. I was also supposed to have an exam in this class today. It was supposed to be open book/notes, and also scared the crap out of me, mostly cause I missed the night we talked about Henry V, and I had just now read that and As You Like It. Well. He walked in, and being the ex-hippie he is, he entertains suggestions that we should have a take-home exam instead (since it is just essentially one big essay). He gives us the option of either taking the exam, or having a take-home exam and watching Casablanca (old class joke - he's amazed only 4 out of a class of 25 had seen it). Well, what do you think we chose? 'Twas a large happiness

Also: heard back from the health center, and my x-rays came back normalish.

So I'm good. However, my poor roommate is afflicted with like two health problems and a bit more than the normal gamut of psychological problems. *sigh* So I'm worried about her now.

Arg. Spring break is in 9 days.

Will do. She finally went to the health center at my insistance yesterday and they gave her perscriptions for drugs(yay!). I happened to have some of the same pain reliever thingie left over (you know, the one that turns everything easter egg orange), so I gave her that cause she was feeling *so* awful, though that's a tad illegal. It's the same thing the doctor perscribed, so I don't see why I shouldn't have.

And yesterday really went better than I'd hoped. today should be interesting... got a wind ensemble concert... we're nowhere near ready. And I have solos!

Really? It would be the most beautiful color except... well... yeah.

Yeah...

But she's better, so that makes me happy. I was/am having sympathy pains for her... nastiness, those infections.

I asked mum about this she suggested eating yoghurt.

Hmm, I'll mention that to her.

somethign to do with bacteria replenishment and particularly strong anitbiotics plus it's gloopy and nouroshing - which is perfect when your feelign like s***.

Ah, yes. Ye olde "antibiotics don't care about which bacteria they kick out" thing. Know it well. I've also got some acidophilous pills (happy bacteria) for that purpose as well.

Can't really watch Casablanca anymore, without seeing flashbacks of Woody Allen and Kermit the Frog!

I periodically have flashbacks of one episode of the Muppets with Dudley Moore and the Musical Darlek - where Gonzo is trying to defuse an H-Bomb on stage and demands absolute silence whilst reciting the rhyme of the ancient mariner by Coleridge...
