Went to the doc *fidgits* he had big rough hands and a disconcerting smile. I blacked out in the waiting room waiting to see him, which had the only advantage of getting me seen earlier. Gave me _another_ bruise though
He talked in a slow clear way designed for hysterical people, but I wasnt hysterical until he started with the calming talk. Mind you at least he made sense mostly and knew what he was talking about.
It appears I have what is known as Acute "unspellable word" Leukemia. Thats helpful I know

Easy to treat apparently, BUT oh there is ALWAYS a but I'm a complex person because of my immune system and medical history so they arent sure about various things and they ummmmmed and aaaaaaahed and muttereed about drugs and will it do more harm than good and we arent sure etc etc
so its die by cure or die by cancer, greeeeeeeat!
Anyway, they're going to run some tests tommorow to see how far it has spread
My god everyone is ill

I'm not, but most people wouldn't be thankful for that.
My cousin had lukemia when he was only 4 or 5, can't really remember. They gave him chemotherapy. His hair fell out, but he was cured within a year. Hopfully the same will apply here.

Jack. We are ALL here for you. Use us. Abuse us. Get angry with/at us, but for gods sake, DO NOT hold your emotions in.
There is a contraption you can use if you need chemotherapy. It helps to stop your hair falling out by freezing the hair follicles. It's called a Cold Cap. It's like a big hat that goes over your head and has, basically, frozen water in it. It's free. Just check that the hospital you are using has it.
