I hope all of you have enough sense to read this, those who dont I'm sure i can track down
before I get to the main point of this thread I'd like to set down some rules
Please, no reposting this or a link to this in your journal. I dont need the pity/sympathy of people I dont or barely know.
No randomly chatting about idle topics and producing blog- if this goes off topic many people wont bother to post
No single smiley posts. If you want to say something say it, if you want to just say I can get in touch say it, if you want to just let me know you've read it just post a word or two. Seriously, pages and pages of smileys can get boring. I need entertainment. Go figure
If you want to say something but not here, leave me a message in my space with your e-mail address or something, I've posted mine in a journal before I think but since no-one wants to talk to me I'll give it out again if you want
In spite of all this, please do post something *lonely*
Last but not least, dont all glomph on cal after reading this. Not only is that my job, but he doesnt need the crowding ok?
The point:
I've been meaning to do this journal for a while. I didnt for various reasons we'll come to later. Most of you know (all of you *should* but some may not bother with all my journals) that I was diagnosed with cancer. In short- I'm not a healthy bunny. The honest truth is I knew for a long time the lookout wasnt good, but after going through long periods of denial, fear, and emotional instability I decided I'd be happier if no-one knew so that I didnt have to accept it. Having watched this plan cr@p out after people kept asking me how I was and I kept making up sh!t to cover my ass, and not doing it very well I realised the truth was better than rumours. I told cal *much cuddling* who had already guessed pretty much, which wasnt surprising really. He told Charlie *more cuddles* so that he had someone else he could talk to about that, and then a couple of others were told. Considering I didnt want everyone to know, everyone kept getting paranoid that other people had been told who would then tell someone else, and it was treated like a government secret.
So now, having been repramanded that I should tell my friends what was going on by two people, the truth is out. I'm dying. This is not a drill folks, I was told probably by the end of the year I'll be gone. How accurate that is god only knows, maybe I'll be here for a while maybe I'll be gone sooner rather than later. I didnt say before because I dont want everyone treating me like I was weak (I know I am, but I dont need reminding) and telling me shouldnt I get some rest and not really letting me have fun. Listen, if I'm going to die I dont want to do it having been wrapped up in cotton wool and not allowed to do anything for my last months!
Cant think of anything else to put
not sure there is anything else
Ah well *deep breath*
*postage*
-Jack

Not really. This hasn't been a particularly good day all-round, and this is the icing on the cake. Although I suppose it does put my tiny problems into perspective.

Yes, 'shock' does just about cover it for now. Jack, it's far too early in the morning - I'll be back later when I'm able to string thoughts together - but thanks for letting us all know the full picture.
