h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Many, many years ago, in fact last century when we probably still thought that digital watches were a pretty neat idea and h2g2 was still on the BBC website, I joined and spent many a happy hour at work in silly conversations with Ormondroyd, Dr E Vibenstein, Mrs V, Bluebottle, Cakewalker and the like.

Amazingly , twenty years on, I find the site is still up and running ... as is what's left of my profile.

What did I miss?

You probably missed the arrival of nighthoover.... and their untimely vanishing. Although, some would say, that this isn't so much 'missing' as it is 'escaping' that particular chapter within the history of this site

"Chapter" could also be a subdivision of an organization, as in a chapter of the Nighthoover Appreciation Society.

Don't worry, I missed (most of) that too. But not the aftermath.

I don't think there was very much to miss.

so little, yet so much. - the really good stuffs was in all the tiny spaces inbetween the actual 'stuff', physicalities created to distract the observer from the important things happening in the gaps, in time and physical space

I should have said that no detail is too small to be noticed. That would be the philosophy of a dedicated trivia lover.

The trick is to see the details, the bigger picture, and everything that goes between those. (and then jump around the corner unexpectedly and say BOOOO!!! for no apparent reason)

Actually, I'm really not too sure I am capable of being too serious... or even moderately seriously..... even in serious circumstances I seem to fail to grapple or grasp the seriousness of the situation sense is overrated, outsanity is far better
