What's your bedtime?

C'mon, it's MiscChat, and I felt like asking a pointless question. smiley - blush

I tend to aim for 11pm, but don't always make it (for which I blame 2legs).

How about you?

Anytime between 10 and 11 and certainly within an hour of taking last of the daily meds as one is actually more a knock-out pill. smiley - erm

General about half 10, as I have to get up at half 6, and rather like my 8 hours sleep.

dragonqueen - eternally free and forever untamed - insomniac extraordinaire - proprietrix of a bullwhip, badger button and (partly) of a thoroughly used sub with a purple collar. Matron of Honour.

Anytime between midnight and 6am. For which I blame 2legs.

OTOH, it savese me from making at least one meal, unless I feel the need for a night snack.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

Before 2 AM if Ineed to be up early, but useually about 2 or 3 AM means I'm awake before 8 without an alarm, depending if I'm drunk before bed or not, in which case I'd wake more like 9 AM, but probably not have gone to bed until more like 3 or 4 or 5 AM smiley - erm If I go to bed much before midnight I usueally end up wide awake by 5 AMsmiley - ermsmiley - weirdsmiley - sleepy
But I still say the day is the wrong length for me, which means my sleep patturns never actually work well because the day is 24 hours long, longer days or shorter ones would Ithink work better smiley - huhsmiley - wah

Does anyone else find they function better after a late night? I seem to wake up far more alert after 4-6 hours sleep than after 8. And if for some reason I end up sleeping for 10 hours or so, I can never seem to get going.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

10 hours asleep? LIke non-stop?! smiley - yikes I can often not even manage any more than 6 hours straight through smiley - wah Though recently I've starteed having an occasional nap... though I rarely nap for more than an hour or two, and don't do very deep sleep as I'm always aware of what is going on outside whilst I'm asleep in that kinda not deep sleep thing smiley - wah
I useually go up to bed about 2 or just after, and useually take about an hour to fall asleep, which is the really annoying bit smiley - wah
so... no idea about the differnce between long and short sleeps as goes alertness, I've not ever slept 8 hours or anywhere near that, that I can ever reme3mber in my life at any point smiley - ermsmiley - doh

I do remember my doctor advising me to sleep less when I asked for advice because I'm tired all the time. At this stage I was sleeping solidly between 10pm and 7am. It did actually help to move my bedtime back to 11.

I'm still tired a lot, but shifting my bedtime back to midnight *doesn't* work! smiley - yawn

Definitely before midnight, even on a night out!

Weekdays, round 11. My alarm is set for 7, but I'm often up before then - I have a 4 month old puppy who's just taken to waking (and barking) at 4.30 am. I stick in ear plugs and refuse to get up until there's a 6 in the picture.

I sometimes see it from the wrong side...

Unfortunately, I work best at night - I do my best writing and drawing between about 10pm and 4pm, which isn't really compatible with normal society. I do try to get my 8 hours, though. Maybe I should cut back, I do find myself very tired all the time, too.

I did actually see 4am this morning, albeit in the short time it took me to wake up, shift position so that my hip didn't hurt, and then fall back to sleep. I think it's my body training me for next year...

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am...

I generally aim for 10:30pm or thereabouts but almost always overshoot and hit midnight or after most nights.

I blame Skyrim. And 2legs.
