I'm rubbish at lying. Which is why I had to ditch Michelle Pfeiffer. "Yes, really, Michelle. You don't look fat in that." It just got too much.

I hate lies and the lying the liars that tell them, that's why I had to turn away Sile, she might have a stellar brain and wonderful legs too, and is always up for an exchange of cellular materials, the stem cell researching minx, but she's clearly soft on liars what with her views on libel laws.

Its the completely inane and pointless lies I like best.

A while after having a major operation, a friend told me their scar was itchy. I told them they probably had scar mites and should go to the chemist and ask if they had any scar mite ointment.

Sometimes telling pointless lies can backfire. Another friend told me their dog had a bad leg and couldn't walk very well. I suggested they buy a doggie zimmer frame. It turns out there is such a thing.
