Works both ways PP.
If an operator denies saying something, the conversation's on tape, and everybody knows where they are.

I have no axe to grind. It just strikes me as dishonest and if you are being recorded you should probably be told why. If it is not for training then say that it is for the purposes of record keeping, security, probity, to settle disputes at a later date, whatever.

If you are not informed that the call is or may be recorded the recording cannot normally be used in legal actions.

Sometimes they are used for 'training purposes' (I know from experience!) Sorry to ruin it! You are right though- it can sometimes be used to check up on people.....

I agree with Mr PP's sentiments though: there's too much baloney out there. Especially from big companies who think they can get away with it.
