Blackberry Cat , if one wishes to remain an individual in the midst of the teeming multitudes, one must make oneself grotesque Started conversation Apr 14, 2005
Beginning tomorrow at 07:30 AM I have a week off.
I have resolved that this time I will use it to do something useful like complete the 2 entries I'm part way through and maybe write one on Emily Hobhouse (Peace Campaigner and Suffragette), and do some reading to prepare for writing the one on Simon de Montfort I've been meaning to write since I've joined.
I will not spend the week playing computer games. I will not spend it drinking (except Saturday night as I'm going out for a meal.
Anyone care to place any bets?

As a show of solidarity, I am going out to the bookies as soon as they open in the morning and bet ... all the money I currently have!

No, good luck with it: be strict, be strict.

Jerms - a Brief flicker and then gone again. Posted Apr 14, 2005
How about a mutual bet?
Beginning as soon as my assignments are handed in (monday at the latest), I have two weeks off.
I /intend/ to spend them playing computer games and drinking, but I might not be able to resist doing some work on some projects I have going...
So how about, for every hour /you/ spend working, /I'll/ spend an hour larking about, and vice versa. Whoever ends up with the tally further on the 'being bad' side than the other person (that being the lazy side for you and the productive side for me), has to give that other person a
Savvy?

Excellent! I'm underweight as it is.
Don't stress too much!
I'll get back to you when I come back to uni in a couple of weeks, since I have no 'net at home.

What the 'ells wrong with you?
The key word here is MULTI TASKIN..ok so two words..
Geez...
It's a week off for gawds sake....you may play computer games in the morning...after you get out of bed at 1pm.....have a break and a few drinks with brunch....consider your keyboard and have some more drinks for inspiration whilst taskin on games to relax the mind...then...
Sit down and consider your double keyboard and wonder what the squiggly things do to the left...and give it shake.
Have a few more drinks followed by a stroll to the pub.
Hang out at said pub, and do some research which could be valuable on darts, pool and the pretty legs in the corner...
Stagger home....plop into bed happy that you can start your research tomorrow morning at 2pm after another lesuirely brunch....

Well not a lot got done
I seem to be having a black spell at the moment where nothing seems important or worthwhile even though I know it is
Hopefully it will be over soon and at least I managed to force myself into work

at the moment I'm struggling to manage cooking or checking mail
my mood must've been noticable as work have given me annual leave for the weekend
I started having a panic attack on the train home and I haven't had 1 of those for years
off to the to go back on the happy pills tomorrow

things will be sunshiny again
Keep on in there and check out funny websites and TV comedys, comedies?
Read the back of pop tarts packets and wonder who has such of a hectic schedule that needs to pop it in the microwave oven for 3 seconds..(Brian Regan)
Stroke a soft friendly fluffy cat or other animal...buy a plant or some clothes or a funny book...read Hitchhiker or Dirk Gently..listen to some VERY loud music and upset the neighbours...perhaps go for a trundle in the car with some loud music on, nice thumpy happy toons..
Visit here and vent and hopefully feel a little better
