Who Knows anything about hotels in London?

Odo and I will be looking to book a hotel for the Meet night. All the hotels in Holborn are damn expensive, but our London Geography is rather hazy, so we're looking for something reasonably affordable that isn't going to require a massive tube journey. Any suggestions?

Pah! Lightweight. What's wrong with a park bench?

Last year we stayed in London University halls, near St. Pancras. It was suitably cheap and a 15 minute walk from the pub. Z's got the details The Europa is bloody miles away, we stayed there one year.

http://www.londontown.com/hotels/ can offer huge discounts on loads of different hotels or B+Bs - they claim this can be up to 75% off. I believe some people used this to book places in the summer meet.

I've just done a quick search there. Twin room, hotel near the British Museum, £55 for the night of the meet.

Hey,
Try The TraveInns - http://www.travelinn.co.uk
part of Whitbread Group.
They are good quality and relatively cheap. The two nearest are at
Waterloo (South BanK) and Tower Bridge Road (Near London Bridge and Tower Hill tube stations).

Hmmm...last Travel Inn I stayed at was raided by the police in the middle of the night because there was a drug dealer living downstairs.
Would it be a good idea to harrass 2legs until he works out which pub we're going to and then pick the nearest hotel?

Oh... well if Suz doesn't feel like going to the museum we'll likely be spending the first part of the day with 2legs anyway so I shan't get lost on the way to where ever the vening is...
