Today
A strange thing, today! I found myself on a beach, teeming with rain but loving it, the sand was bleached white and about eight foot waves all greenyblue in colour with a topping of surfers, the rain was running out of my sleeves, the last of the summers warmth before it ease’s itself into autumn, so out of the corner of my eye I spy’s a person, and I’m struck with lighting, transfixed to this spot on the beach, my world stopped just for a split second. I thought it was my mum. Even down to the different colour of her wellies, there she was, digging at the sand with the toe of her boot, bucket in her hand, beachcombing, as she always done, as she always did on a beach like this. Like my mum did, to take pleasure in the shape of a shell, curve of the wave, the force of the wind.
I felt a gentle touch on my shoulder,
“You ok” she asks
“Nope” I reply
“Your mum?” she asks
“Yep” I reply
I wish I could walk over to the woman, and talk to her, telling her just how she looks like my mum, looking in her bucket and talking about the shells she’s beach combed, just to share something as important as a periwinkle shell, which is important, very important. But I can’t I’m rooted to the spot on this beach for this moment in time, not noticing the rain!

I think it was something unusual, strange, but i've never felt like that before, i talked to someone very close, a sister to me, when her mum died i ended up shareing her with my mum, as my mum was big enough for everyone and at the time he needed her more than me, bit she said she felt something too!
So strange this

I believe and I don't believe. Sometimes things happen that are awfully hard to explain.

Its one of those things in life, something out of the orderary that makes life so great! Sad at times but Great none the less, as I become older and more reliant on floors being level and covered in carpet, a better mattress to sleep on, ect! i'm enjoying life more than before!
And theres one other thing i want, and that is a stairlift, not that i need a stairlift, i can do stairs 2 at a time if i want, but just think what the nextdoor will think.......

I want a roadside attraction of some kind. Something really tacky. I could just sit on my porch and sip cider and let the yobs pay me to see whatever it is. And I could sell postcards of it and stale popcorn.

That came from my dad. He always used the term crapper. I think he did it because he knew it annoyed my mother.

He had a great sense of humor. Mother, on the other hand, has no humor at all. I don't know how they ever got together.
