Why are we snobbing greek beaches?

Ok, so Greece is a bit of a 'been there-done that' destination...but it still has some of the best beaches in Europe.
Amongst my favourites:
Golden Beach on Paros - the ultimate greek beach with lots of golden sand, lots of australian backpackers and a really nice 'taverna' with incredibly edible yogurt heaped with honey and nuts
All the beaches on Patmos - rather an isolated island with some fantastically isolated beaches and a very strange one where the rocks have been eroded by the wind and look like huge monoliths jutting out from the sand
Zakynthos - Navaghio (which means shipwreck) the beach which is on all the postcards, it's worth it, even if difficult to get to (only bi boat)
Crete - southwestern beach called Vai with palm tress, magnificant

you're perfectly right
there are great beaches in Greece, And we shouldn't forget the Turkish ones too
