lynsey,
did i say they was specifically about me? no you emailed my friends quizzing all of us 1 by 1 about the other asking for personal information and photographs/epics of friends(actually probably epics cos even you wouldnt be stupid enough to ask for my address and i wouldnt want yours anyway), you also made reference to something i put in an email to you to a friend of mine (which was a joke and he was aware of it cos i was on the phone to him at the time),
but you twisted it to make it look like i was being a for what reason? to cause trouble? who knows? who cares? well what you wernt aware of was we have been friends for a long time and only laughed at your childish comments but as i said ancient history now and so long as all involved are aware of what you are like and how you like to twist funny remarks and cause trouble/obtain personal information about people that quite frankly is none of your business unless said person wished to divulge that to you themselves none of us would be stupid enough to take your stirring seriously so as i said ancient history
but as you pointed out to me, this thread is for another matter much more serious than trouble making in email, so back to the matter in hand......AWOL!

Seriously, I have no idea what your on about
I haven't asked anyone for personal details that they haven't offered to me!
If what I ask other people though, REALLY bothers YOU, you are more sad than I first thought
I have never twisted anything about anyone & if you say everything(whatever that may be) IS ancient history, why write a huge posting about me
Anywhooos, you have AWOL in hand do you?...Hmmmm...always thought there was something fishy about your 'friendship'

lynsey,
i remember you once said you never come on here weekends, cos you had a life..seems to me your always on here, seeing how quickly youve always responded to posts
you asked me what i was talking about so i told you, dont complain now ive posted it..you havnt asked anyone for personal details about anyone else? you even asked me for pics of Awol along with 'dirt' (there may even be reference to the gathering of 'dirt' on the guy in h2g2 but as far as i know most of your information gathering has occurred in email from what my friends told me and lets not forget Malo you was very curious about him aswell wernt you lol (though that was a long time ago, you not being part of my group of friends anymore hence there emails enevitably dry up but you wouldnt need me to tell you that would you)
twisting my words again lynsey? myself, Awol and his family are good pals its true - whats with the dig though? you jealous of that friendship? lmfao perhaps in time you will develop some true friends too that are not merely online 'love interests' or admirers but then i guess you couldnt blame them for the confusion with all the innuendos you post..ooopps i wasnt sposed to say but we have some mutual friends who were at you and forwarded me some emails you sent them so as i could at you too which i did and i wasnt gonna mention that lol oh i know you have an on/off partner so you will have to get all moral on me now but you know your wasting your breath as i dont really care afterall you mean nothing to so many people including myself
well have a fun weekend on h2g2 wont you, once ive caught up on some posts ill be off so you'll have to wait till next week to play with me as i have things to do

In refrence to me asking for pics of Awol, I meant in the way you are always sending "p*ss take" emails you send round, I have NEVER asked for a true picture of him!

As for the dirt, you were saying you went to visit him & I asked in "joke" if you had found any skeletons in any of his cupboard!
WHO'S TWISTING THINGS NOW!
As for being jealous...don't make me laugh
I only popped on here, it was just coincidence that you had just posted too!
As for Malo & "your circle of friends" Just who do you think YOU are?? I'm not so desperate as to spend my only time on h2g2, pulling people down, taking the piss out of them & basically bad mouthing them!
You seem to have alot of "dirt" on ME, so who is the sad one, it seems it is you who is probing people about ME & my life!
I AM unsubscribing now, as you are obviously unable to hold a cival conversation!
Goodbye you spineless

Since everything that would document the charges is hidden, it's pretty hard to decide whether or not I'd find anything that AWOL wrote offensive. The only charge that can be proven is the creation of a new account while suspended, pending a lifetime ban.
Now, if the original charges are true, go ahead and ban him until he creates his next account. If they're not (again, I have no way of knowing and am not inclined to take it on faith), restore him. I am not able to find any evidence that the original suspensions were justified.
Without evidence, I can't support a ban.

lynsey,
unsubscribing to this thread - again? deja vous? lol
i have no reason to lie when you asked me for pictures and dirt on Awol i told you im only here to take the p*ss out of my pal and anything i said was basically i went on to say if you wanted a proper pic of him ask him yourself, i also (at the time which im talking about) forwarded that to Awol and hes just confirmed over the phone he remembers so you deny it if you like makes no odds to me but remember you asked me what i was talking about so dont get upset at me for posting
your not so desperate as to spend all your time on h2g2? lmfao when are you off it? i mean who's kidding who here? ok so you could say to that but you only have to check your threads and how quickly you always reply to a post directed at you..says a lot does that, and though some of the sites representitives talk the site itself records every thread time
lynsey i wouldnt say i had dirt on you i would just say you contradict yourself a lot and you are a hypocrite, if you wish to talk by all means do but if your going to lie at least be able to back up your bull
byeeee lynsey, wonder how long this takes you to reply?

Hi Jab,
This thread, <./>T317563</.>, has been created alongside the thread 'Ban Researcher AWOL', <./>T317562</.>, in accordance with h2g2's procedure for lifetime bans, 'Transgressions Procedure for Lifetime Bans', A642296. All the facts are not missing but elsewhere - in the article to which both of these threads are attached, 'Suspension of Researcher AWOL's h2g2 Accounts', A1285210.

Note: My post in this thread does not mean that I do not believe that AWOL should be banned.

RhoMuNuQ: Thankyou, makes more sense now, this is not so much the debate, but the vote. One vote, two threads. This one for no to the ban, the other for yes.
To quote you "Note: My post in this thread does not mean that I do not believe that AWOL should be banned."
----
I don't wish to vote against it directly, but will say... Having seen this in action, am left wondering if all the facts have been presented in a full and fair way?
Life ban, so final. A question, not a demand or vote, could AWOL remain (subject to review in three months, but have a 'prefect' put on guard ie Hoovaloo? Maybe some middle ground could be found. Since Hoo in the other thread keeps refering to AWOL as "thick", "t**t", or has a problem with Yorkshire people? Voting for a ban is made so difficult by Hoo, without reading anything else.
If AWOL is so "thick", what is Hoo doing but shooting himself in the foot? Once you've won, you've won? Now Hoo is in danger of giving AWOL validity of point, even if AWOL has picked the worse way to make any point?

> Thankyou, makes more sense now, this is not so much the debate, but the vote.
It's not a vote - it is a debate. However, the two sides of the debate have been separated into two threads, both attached to the one entry, for convenience. At the end of the debate, which should be tomorrow, the h2g2 Editors will make the decision as to whether or not to ban Researcher AWOL for life. Their decision will take account of posts made in these two threads, but, even if there were was a unanimous belief amongs researchers either way, the Editors are in a position to overrule it.
> To quote you "Note: My post in this thread does not mean that I do not believe that AWOL should be banned."
I only added this to my last post to make my position on the matter entirely clear to anybody reading this thread in isolation, who hadn't read the 'Ban Researcher AWOL Thread'.
---
> Having seen this in action, am left wondering if all the facts have been presented in a full and fair way?
I personally believe that the presentation of the facts on A1285210 was both clear and objective.
> Life ban, so final. A question, not a demand or vote, could AWOL remain (subject to review in three months, but have a 'prefect' put on guard ie Hoovaloo?
There are less 'final' restrictions that can be placed on an h2g2 user, such as premoderation (where the Researcher's posts are not visible until specifically approved to not break any House Rules by a Moderator) and a temporary ban (for a period of seven days, or of a month). As described in A1285210, Researcher AWOL has three times been placed on premoderation and had his account suspended at separate times for a week, and then for a month. While his account was temporarily banned, he repeatedly signed up new accounts, and is seemingly still continuing to do so, to post material - including highly offensive material - to the site. This is not a 'grey area' in the rules; it is against h2g2's Rules. "While suspended, returning to h2g2 by creating another account will constitute a further offence and will extend the suspension to the next period, or will result in your account being closed permanently", from the <./>HouseRules</.>, 'Transgressions'.
I believe that he has now had enough 'chances'.
> Maybe some middle ground could be found.
That is precisely why the lesser measures exist.
> Since Hoo in the other thread keeps refering to AWOL as "thick", "****", or has a problem with Yorkshire people? Voting for a ban is made so difficult by Hoo, without reading anything else.
Each individual should review the evidence for themself, and may contribute to the debate. Again, this is not a vote, and the Editors' decision is final.
Hoo has expressed his opinions, I mine, others theirs. Granted, Hoo could have expressed his opinions more tactfully, but it is not my position to label his opinions 'wrong', and I cannot be held responsible for his views. From what I've read, I do not believe that Hoo has a prejudice against people who live in Yorkshire.
> If AWOL is so "thick", what is Hoo doing but shooting himself in the foot? Once you've won, you've won?
It's not a case of winning or losing - the whole idea of these threads is to encourage rational debate about the ban, to bring to the Editors' attention any evidence that they might have missed.
> Now Hoo is in danger of giving AWOL validity of point, even if AWOL has picked the worse way to make any point?
I'm not sure how Hoo could give AWOL validity of point by expressing his own viewpoint, however undiplomatically.

You seem to have a strange illusion of power. You're being nothing more than annoying, honestly. The editors won't, and shouldn't, apologize to you
If anything, you should apologize to them
