I live in Warwickshire - but some be-knighted civil servant (and there's an oxymoron) has decided I live in the County of West Midlands, thus lumping me with a bunch of Yam-yams and Aynochs.
Obviously we need a Warwickshire day.
On Warwickshire day we could send all civil servants to Coventry IN WARWICKSHIRE.
Warwickshire County Cricket Club could play a match at their home-ground, Edgbaston - IN WARWICKSHIRE.
I'm getting warmed up here.....

This is a really fun little entry.
Lots of good information and detail!
One tiny typo about the French and Indian War, you have your numbers switched - 'commemorate the events of 1579' rather than 'commemorate the events of 1759'
