A lot I have heard about this is reference to the fact that Jet aircraft have to fly at 30,000 ft +

GB and the US have Prop-driven military aircraft that can safely fly at 5000 ft or less, below the ash cloud..

Why not use them for re-patriasation???

Probably because alot of those aircraft are serving in Afghanistan at the mo and their safety is abit dodgy, as has been proved by numerous of investigations after plane crashes and such of these servive aircraft.

They only have 'bench seats' in 'Hercy Birds', and no waiter service!!

However, latest I have seen is that the Royal Navy may get involved...


And Airlines are waiting to go 'cap-in-hand' as did the Bankers.....

Thats one reason behind the dog license. It won't be 37 1/2p like it was last time I bought one but a few hundred pound and they will require that each dog is insured just in case it bites someone or causes an accident. That way government can cut down the money they give to council's and gain aload more besides

I wonder if I should start charging my local council for every rat or mouse that my cat kills as they are in charge of pest control?

They could try it the same as the dog license, next it would be a fish license that covers the fish in your garden pond and don't forget the air pollution tax on cows and sheep for their contribution to global warming as methane is worse than CO2

I thought that I was hallucinating at about 5PM today. I could have sworn I saw two aircraft flying low over Preston in a South-Easterly direction.....

No, I had NOT been on the Pop!!!

Matter was resolved on North-West News........

Manchester Ringway had received special permission to fly two aircraft from Prestwick Airport in Scotland, as long as they used specialist pilots qualified in flying in VMC; (Visual Mean Conditions). and as long as they did not exceed 5000FT.

Phew!!!!!

Not hallucinating after all.
