h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi peeps tis me opti calling from outer space (well ok planet space)
anyway just wondered whether any of you lot have seen the film yet (no not Star Wars! Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy) Am unsure of going to see it myself as I fear the producers may have highlighted the unknown area that is space and made it very different to the original even so far as to say its like that dreaded Dr Who ... so comments on a postcard to opti's journal would be nice to reassure her she's gone stark raving mad and ought to get herself off to the next cinema screening love opti

Not seen it yet, was on Brownie Pack Holiday, going on Saturday with PSG . My best friend's seen it, said it was good but very different to the books in terms of the order things happen in and they changed a lot, though the main theme is largely the same. Or something. Did you listen to the radio bit yesterday? That was great

It's good, but bears no relevance whatsoever to any of Hitchhiker's other incarnations. But worth seeing, as teh kept teh best jokes in. And Bill Bailey plays the Sperm Whale [what more could you want? ]. Worth a watch. You'll love it or hate it

DNA did write the screenplay, so it is what he wanted. Perswonally I thought it was great, differnt plot but still wonderful!

Thanks people think I'll wait till its come out on video so I can watch it from the comfort of home

I thought it was good, but not great, ah well. There were some really good bits, but I guess I'm just too fond of the radio series, I enjoy that far more

i thought the old dv set was the best ... cant believe they are selling the revamped book of it for as little as £2!
