Opticalillusion- media mynx life would be boring without hiccups

Have you noticed how if you start off researching about one thing it leads you on to finding out more about other places, people etc? Where do you stop if at all? If my entries sailed through PR like others do then I'd have 100 entries by now probably. Hope everyone is well my best wishes are with all of you.

I think if you find something your passionate about it is easy just to do it. comphrendez?

I recall not so long a go a vicar handing out egg timers to remind people to recharge their batteries and spend time with god. Most people may say that is not easy to do but I don't agree. Its easy. Take a walk with the dog, a bubble bath, pampering session, write an entry for h2g2. These are all things that can come easy to us. Its just a matter of how we choose/want to spend our time. Anyway I'm going off on a tangent. I'll keep schtum.

my bf and I live with our parents so we hardly see each other smiley - sadface
this may sound like a smiley - silly question but how did you meet your friends? do they live in the area? or go to a club you once went to? I just wonder what the best way to meet people is these days cos people seem so wrapped up in work these days.

The problem I keep having is that there's nobody my age in work. The neighbours too are the age of my parents. I was wondering whether I should take up dancing again, abseiling, rock climbing and try drama .. role play seems interesting looking at the stand up comedy advert on tv. I don't know where to look to find these societies though.

I reckon the rock climing, abseiling thing would be good cos then you are meeting people with similar interests. Do you have any friends as a couple?

Abseiling's great fun as long as you don't have a problem with height!

I've done it about 3 times now, most recently off this building at my uni:

Sorry for the long link. We did it on the water side too!

smiley - wah It's awful, isn't it? so many entries to write and so little time to do it in... my "to do" list is longer than my arm at this point... smiley - brave

Oh yes... I'm in someone's journal. smiley - blush
*wipes eyes with sleeve and tries to look presentable*

I hate to sound utterly ignorant, but what is abseiling? (Did I spell that right?)

I don't have any friends at work. smiley - erm They're all too busy *working*. (Can you imagine?) And they aren't quite my speed anyway. Most of my friends are either left over from high school or met in college through newspaper work, which is a club, I guess.

The best way to befreind people is to work/play with them, anyway. Not the staring-at-the-computer-and-sending-emails kind of work, but the sort that actually requires interaction. At least, that's my analysis. I'm not quite good enough to write an entry on the topic, though. smiley - winkeye

York Uni looks great smiley - smiley

well i wouldn't say having loads to write about was awful but PR seems to give me grief.

abseiling is walking down the side of a wall attached to a rope.

all my friends are scattered about this country. smiley - sadface

smiley - ta for the advice smiley - smiley
