It is the first weekend of my, already booked, holiday, so I am a very definite non-attendee...

Which date *would* you be able to attend, MMF?

Oh my. It was the only date we could all agree on.

We could all go to the folk festival

Don't change it just for me... That would be totally unfair!

It is that weekend and the following that I am away, getting in loads of playing, , and So I really will not enjoy myself as much as you will...

Which means the only confirmed date that I know is gig-free and I am not working, is Friday to Sunday, August 22nd to 24th...

But I would rather those of you that can make that date stick with it, rather than lose Attendees, or have to rearrange any plans.

I have the Hull Meet, and possibly the Autumn London Meet, and there is next year.

I would to meet you Mal and Tav, and meet all my other friends, especially B'Ela nd TC!

22nd to 24th would concide with King Bomba's visit, but I wouldn't be able to attend.

Tav and I will just need to make an effort to get over there sometime!

Please, leave it as it is, and I'll visit next year, or maybe when you have a mini-meet or something.

Having re-read what has been posted here I feel mortified that I didn't have the decency to thank you for considering changing the date for me. How rude can I be!

May I make amends now , and say I am humbly touched that you considered it, and it makes me more determined (and you'll be , those who haven't met me) to make the next Meet...
Any other week, except the following one, I'd have moved and to attend, including

apologies to all, and enjoy yourselves... That is all I ask!

Looks like we'll have to have one on 9th AND on 22nd August. How's about the whole of August while we're at it!

If anyone wants to come with me, there might be really cheap flights to Baden-Baden from Stansted with R*ana*r. I'm not sure it would be an advantage, though, because even though I could offer free bed and board and pick-up in Baden-Baden, I would be travelling up by train and it's quite a long way to Düsseldorf from here.

TC, there is another problem, or rather risk if someone goes to Baden-Baden - isn't there a Casino???? Someone might get stuck there....

As for dates, for me any date is okay, since it is some time to go yet and not dates in my diary yet.

There are always various carpooling sites, they charge about 5€ per 100km, much cheaper than the train!
