I ate a carrot! :-D
aka Bel - A87832164 Started conversation Nov 22, 2007
Yes, there you go: first thing I ate after I got the crown fitted yesterday afternoon (on my tooth, not my head ), was a delicious raw carrot.
Bet you'll all think I'm , but being actually able to CHEW something real again - you have to have experienced it to understand.
And to make up for all my recent gloom, here are some more good news: the car came back from the garage, and what I had feared would turn out to be a major (read: expensive) repair was only a very minor thing and cost us all of €11.75.
That was a huge relief, seeing as we just got the bill for hot water and heating: an additional € 400.
So ok, the year isn't yet over, and I know of some more bills to come next month, followed by those for next year in January, but I am trying to be more relaxed about it.
However, it does mean that any visits to London are in a very distant future.

What's up doc?
Bel, you're as thin as a rake - go and eat something with a few calories!
Good to hear about the crown. Our queen had one fitted in 1953 and it hasn't fallen off yet.

Dentist said the life expectancy of crowns is under 20 years - so well done for your Queen for keeping hers that long.
To be honest, anything containing sugar isn't on my 'to eat' list just now, but I'm sure it won't take long to get my lost weight back now that I can eat normally again.

Hi Bel, glad to hear you've got that tooth sorted, now you need to get some good solid food in you, get your strength and weight built up again.
I know, teapot calling kettle black here as Lil would say but then I quote my mother, "don't do as I do, do as I say"

I thought that 'Beaujolais Primeur' was a different one.
< back>
Well, maybe the label is different
I'm fine for the moment, thank you. The weather has suddenly got cold and rainy, I even had to wear a jacket yesterday
And you, apart from the teeth jewelry that is, how are you doing?

ST, I've tried that one with my boys - with varying success.
Are you in Israel, Toy Box? It's been cold and wet for weeks here now.
I'm doing ok, trying not to let the 'Endzeit' atmosphere that's currently prevailing on hootoo, and our finances get me bogged down too much.

Endzeit atmosphere? Oh my, I thought it was just me.
Yes, I'm in Israel again (I didn't bother to make a journal entry about the last time I took the plane from CDG to Tel Aviv ). Ah well, at least Israeli airlines are the safest on Earth (and in the skies).

All airlines are safe on the earth, it's when they get in the air they get a bit dodgy.
ok, I'll get me coat now.........

Oh, ST, I didn't quote the whole sentence:
>>Ah well, at least Israeli airlines are the safest on Earth (and in the skies<< - so that's your argument taken care of before you made it.
Key: Complain about this post
