Your electricity bill ... (that's not your new shocking boyfriend, Bill). Ours was also about 400 Euros more that it usually was ... and I thought it had to do with the swimming pool in the garden ... or have you also installed a swimmingpool, Bel!

Smile with your crown!!

smiley - yikes Did you have to remind me of the electricity bill we haven't yet got? smiley - yikes
We don't have a pool, but what with the ever increasing prices for gas and mineral oil, I'm not surprised heating and hot water have become even more of a luxury than they already were.

Hurrah for eating carrots! And boo to high electric bills. Our place is heated with gas, so we get high electric bills in summer and then high gas bills in winter. I can sympathize, though it's not gotten to the point (yet) where hot water and heating are luxury rather than necessity.

On a cheerier note, we've got a light dusting of snow this morning! smiley - biggrin

I'm glad we hadn't yet any snow here.

I don't mind it like this. Once it gets past the middle of my shins, I get annoyed. And fortunately I don't have to drive in it. Do you get a lot of snow there? For some reason, I always like to know what kind of weather my friends are having. It makes them not seem so far away, or something...

Usually, we don't get a lot of snow, but there are days when we do, and then the traffic comes to a halt.

That sometimes happens here, too, the first real snowfall or when we get a lot of it. Sometimes it doesn't make sense- it's not like we've never seen the stuff here before.

Being stuck in traffic is one of my least favorite things.

Pity we don't have a smiley - I'm sure there would be loads and loads of carrot-related journals and posts if we had. smiley - laugh

DId you know that Marx favourite vegetable was Carrot (he lied in a whispered tone).

I'm sure that the people in France would not put up with increased prices ... when they get higher than usual bills, or when Diesel goes up 20ct over night, they go on the streets to demonstrates ...

Why don't the German people do this? Okay, demonstrating in the rain isn't much fun ... perhaps we could ask Stunning Frenchie why this is, or any other French person??

I don't know why Germans just moan but don't do anything about high prices. I've only ever been to one demonstration - that was a year ago, so I guess I'm typical in that aspect. smiley - erm

Not because of the weather - it's because of all the violence that usually erupts during demonstrations. I like to steer clear of that.
