h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

It's come around too fast, but once again I get the joy of flying back to the cold UK climate, back to bosom of family and reality.

I have to swap sunshine for gloom, a view of the Atlantic for a view of some rolling hills. I'll also be sad to say goodbye to the lovely friends I have here.

Now to get on with putting anything that I've worn into the washing machine. Then I have to trek to the shops to buy some supplies to leave here in case I arrive back after dark. Water, coffee, longlife milk. Wine.

The fridge is empty, I turned whatever veg I had left into the mother of all carrot soups. Guest and I will eat this tonight, followed by mini onion bhajees and salad. If there is left over soup, it will get given to my adorable neighbours who've been so kind to me this last month. They insisted on cooking for me last night, such food! Such conversation! Sometimes you get neighbours who improve life just by moving into a nearby house nearby.

So now, excuse me while I go and look at a bit of tidying, cleaning and recycling.
