My masonic lodge has given me £25 to spend on flowers for her. So I'll wait until she comes out and give them to her.
We went out and bought her gown for her ladies night. I didn't realise how much these things cost. Not that I mind. It was very exspenive, but she looks fantastic in it. It is Burgundy. Suddenly I found I was buying a bolero to match. Then shoes and handbag. I suggested we spray the handbag she already had, but that got sour remarks. Now she wants long gloves. I have suggested we spray her arms.

Dull and over cast, but dry.
Went for a week to a place called Cricket St Thomas, which is a manor house turned into a hotel. It was used to film a TV series here called "To The Manor Born". It is in a lovely part of the countrside called Somerset.
Colleen's had the kitchen ripped out and a new one fitted. We were away for the first week, so missed the dirty dusty part.
Her son is coming back from USA to live in England for a couple of years. Coll is excited, as his wife is expecting a baby boy. We'd already booked to fly out there for xmas, and have lost money. When we went to cancell tickets. They were non-refundable, but we were refunded the taxes. We have lost £262 each, and the insurance will not refund it either.
Finally on the home stretch with the TV play. We are sending it off any day now.
So what has been happening with you?

Oh, lots of things.
Son #1 dropped out of school this year, husband told him to leave the home.
He is now doing a voluntary social year in an institution not far from here (they tend children 1st to 4th grade). He loves it.
Son #2 (the one you've met) is currently on a schooltrip to the Lake Constanz (Bodensee, as we call it here).

Sounds like son 1 is doing good work. Bit harsh chucking him out. Still it was good as it made him stand on his own to feet. So most likely a wise, if sad decision.
Hope son 2 has a lovely time. How is his cooking?
Came home today to find the clothes rack had broken and I had clothing all over the floor. Had to dash out and buy a new one.
Went for interview for a job in the department of pensions and benefits. It was in three stages, First postal, second exam and third face to face interview. Passed the first two, keeping my fingers crossed for the third. Had to go for the face interview on the 11th, the day I took Coll away. Luckily it was at 915 in the morning. Took Coll for her birthday on 13th. She loved it. Just waiting for results now of third interview.

Oh, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
When the husband chucked our son out, he had already signed up for the job and everything, so there wasn't really any reason to do it. And from one day to the next, too - with no money and nowhere to go!!
I'm not going to forget or forgive that one, that's for sure.
Glad you had such a good time at the Manor house.
