Would she get enough money for it? And where would she live instead?
It does seem to rain a lot, but I guess it's still not enough to make up for the drought of 2003, and last year's dry summer.

The weather forecast is that 2007 will be a hot year. The prediction is that with el nino coming in this will bring hot weather. It happens every 7 years or something. Also the boffins say we are at the end of an ice age.
As to the house, don't know about price.

I guess we'll have to get used to the weather getting warmer and dryer. We're lucky, we still live in a moderate climate with enough rain. smiley - smiley

Sorry got kicked out again with the message page could not be found. You must think I'm rotton the way I keep vanishing, but let me assure you, it is not my fault.
Went for a drink wth an old friend I haven't seen for ages, just the two of us. He got very emotional and told me how things have been since he was made redundant. I never realised what a terrible life he has been leading recently. I have known him since we were teenagers together.

Well I sent off 182 CVs and nothing. I am waiting for the eye operations to be finished, as no employer will hire you if you are going to have to take time off to have the operations and recover.
I am looking for a part time job, but I must be honest, job hunting in the UK at at this monent is tough.

I guess that's an international phenomenon, and it's not getting easier when you're over 40, leave alone over 50.
You know I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. smiley - goodluck
I'm off to bed now, sleep well smiley - smooch

Second eye operation a success, or so they say. Bit flickery, shadows in the corner, but I am pleased and they say these problems will settle down. Operation was Friday 19th.
I was told to arrive at 0730, I got there at 0720. They said notes had not come from other hospital and they couldn't operate until they arrived. They finally arrived at 1030. Still it is done now.

I am told it is microsurgical. They break up the cloudy lens and suck it from ther eye then replace it with an implant. The whole thing takes 30-40 minutes. The worse thing was I had only local anaesthetics and could see and hear everything that was going on. It is brilliant. I never knew every thing had such bright colours. I am very pleased. Sure it aches a bit and it feels like some-one has poked me in the eye, but it is fantastic. Trying to get used to seeing my reflection with no glasses.
Hope all is well your way and hubby and brood are fine. Hope you, too, are keeping well and will try to make April 28, if I can, but only afternoon, if it is local. Is it is London?

I got you email, which reminded me that I forgot my mobile in the car. I haven't switched it on for weeks now, I think. I'll have to go downstairs to have a look.

The meet is in London, don't know yet what the afternoon activities will be. In any case, I'm hoping to meet you then. smiley - hug

Have a seminar to attend at the end of April. Cannot recall when. Hope it doesn't clash.
My mobile has been on charge for 11 hours, hope that's not wrong. The ring tone is the James Bond Theme

Bought Coll 12 red roses for Valentines Day and a bottle of Champagne. We went out for a meal, then I took her to see a Hugh Grant film called Music & Lyrics.
