Traveller in Time smiley - tit talking to machines
"If i express something unclear, just do not be shy and ask for it, chances are I will try and reformulate it until we understand eachother.

I needed last time some ten postings to tell 'Jim Lynn' what the bug was I was talking about. (And he had fixed it the previous day smiley - weird)"

Trust me to make a problem, GM is probably, general manager or general management, I use it more for Greater Manchester.
But more in line for the topic, what is this pph programme or whatever that keeps being mentioned, abreviations, Americanisms, the art of adding isms, ology or inality on the end of good old English words does not please me very much at all, for instance the word is crime not criminality.

Thanks for the chat,

Cheers H.

Forgive me TT I did not include you in the post, you are helpful and I do appreciate talking to you, if we only talked to persons on our level, and not to experts in their own trade we would remain ignorant for ever.

In my own expertice I can hold my own, in yours I listen very carefully. Generally lost but I do listen.

Cheers TT.

Traveller in Time smiley - tit on a deja post
"The browsers ususally reduce more then one space to one space. If the space follows a line break only one space remains. These spaces are different over font faces. Different browsers will use different spacing between characters.

'Gnomon' posted the code < F2000161?thread=573392&skip=40#p6500733 > and something similar happened:

?

!

Where it should have been:

smiley - space
smiley - spacesmiley - space ?
smiley - space
smiley - space
smiley - spacesmiley - space !
smiley - space

If you want to avoid any spaces or line breaks to interfere with the position you should write the GuideML (HTML) close together. Well, that is not my writing style, I want to write only one tag (function) on a line.
I used a dummy tag to avoid spaces to slip in and distort the image.

By the way, how does it look on a Mac smiley - biggrin ? "

Traveller, I didn't change what you wrote. I just cut and pasted it from your entry. But h2g2 may have removed some spaces along the way.

Trying to say you had no control over the spaces (and the entry has some less then I normally do smiley - huh)."
