I'm sifting thro other hootooer's lists and find I'm thinking:
OOOooo yeh that's good..
Oh why didn't I think of that one too...
Gosh that's one I've meant to get for ages and keep forgetting..
Oh WOW....I should add that too...
I should perhaps revamp my list, but it's subject to change so much I'm just gonna leave it.
Perhaps there should be a top 5 of most disliked authors...you know I can't think of any of the top of my head...
That might start some rows and upset people tho, oh well never mind...

Ooh, sounds fun!
1) Lord of the Rings - JRR Tolkein. Unbelievably tedious.
2) The Science of Harry Potter - Roger Highfield. Unacceptably shallow.
3) War and Peace - Leo Tolstoy. Unrelentingly mind-numbing.
4) Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte. Undyingly mediocre.
5) Oliver Twist - Charles Dickens. Unappealingly messy.

Oh, I quite like Lord of the Rings, in a historical sort of way. While at the airport today, I was watching a programme being shown in the National Geographic store which compared Lord of the Rings to people and events in history. Quite fascinating. For that reason alone, I can make the effort to like Lord of the Rings. When Aragorn is equated with William Wallace and Elizabeth I.

Yes,
1, War and Peace by Tolstoy....argghhh...miniscle small print, extra thin pages a stuffy massive tome of yawndom...at least the copy I had was, perhaps there is a short version that I don't know of...
2, Calculus by unknown - my most hated school book, I found it dull not being a mathmatician.
3, Choke by Chuck Palahniuk, mildly amusing but mostly drivel don't know what the raving was about.
4, Five Easy Steps to Learn Spanish by I forget who, don't bother...go get classes with some natives!
5, Mills and Boone
