There are agressive dogs, and dogs that are aggressive.
If a dog is going for your throat, it may be a guard dog that is trained to kill, you don't try to pacify it in any way, If an aggressive dog attacks you, confront it, and grab the two front legs when it jumps at you and pull them apart. This ruptures the dogs internal cavity and it's heart, which prevents it from killing you. Think wishbone, and chicken. This might seem awful, but it'll stop a killer dog in its tracks.

This very true. I once had dealings with a GSD - huge beast - that no-one could handle but me.Simply because i told it to shut its face and i was not taking any notice of it, avoided eye contact but maintained a dominant posture at all times. No-one could even get it out of a kennel to take it for exercise except me - it was a very disturbed dog (German Shepherd Dogs as a rule tend to be a bit short on the brain cells)
However i once got stuck in theatre with a Bull Mastiff and this is the only dog i have ever been *really* scared of. It was half sedated and chained to a steel table but would have ripped my throat out if i even looked at it. Total psycho - had the vet pinned up against the wall twice.
Both dogs were nutters but there was a difference between the two.

My uncle told me that fact - some dogs just arent pets they're trained to kill, That might not be a nice fact to face, but if you're writing about aggessive dogs it should be covered., I tried to pet some dogs in a park and the guy had a real go at me, he said they were trained guard dogs. They weren't pets. They weren't doing anything wrong, they were doing what they were suposed to do, which was be aggresssive. He didn't want them to learn to like to be patted, that was the whole point!

phew, lots of suggestions there! Alas, Stefanf hasn't posted since April 7, so I'm inclined to send it off to the Flea Market...

Does anyone mind if i have a go at this? I might fail but i think i can have a good go at it.
More importantly does anyone know if this has moved anywhere else so i don't waste my time?
Cheers

A2248490 There is some info here, Mort thought she might like to work on it. I also thought I might like to at one point, but gave up the idea. Happy to butt in with ideas etc though.
