One south and one north of town in mountain residential areas.

abbi..i havent heard of fire twiswisters....it sounds awful.the wind ones scare me.....the same with fire sunds horrendous.ihope that at the fires are soon out,and that it rains as hard as posibsible to accomplish that.......i pray that they dont come anyhere near your home,the elements are most scary ary to deal with....anything that man cannot easily control.

I have been perfectly safe. The smoke has always been the worst of it here at my home,thank goodness.
The temperature dropped 50 degrees and we have ice today. Yesterday you would have been wind and sun burned! Our fires are now subdued.
Last I heard the deaths were up to 20 in California - including one firefighter

I just heard on the news that 2 Canadian water-bombers are currently in use (dumping water from the air) & another 2 left this afternoon. But, yes those Santa Ana Winds make it that much worse...pardon the pun, really add fuel to the fire!
