Yeah, I've not done this type of thing before, but it sounds interesting...

means you are a Wizard who is a Black Mage.

Black Mages are from Final Fantasy, Black Magic can only destroy. As opposed to White Magic which can only do good. In between Black Mages and White Mages is Red Mages who use both, and is default for wizards. There are good Black Mages and bad Black Mages. There are no bad White Mages though, or I don't think so anyway. A witch smiley is actually a really bad representation of Black Mages, but it's the best smiley we have. Assume it's a guy wearing a black hat if you're a guy, that's what I did.

Also, nothing's really gender specific, anybody can be anything. We're making up the rules as we go along, though I have a set of rules kinda thought up, but it has holes which we can try to rectify.

If I were you, I'd go look at the old Final Fantasies, particularly Final Fantasy Five.

(of course, there's no such thing as magic in real life, and I hate harry potter.)

Okay, I've just added Blue Mages. Blue Magic is different from White or Red or Black Magic. Blue Magic is the study of monsters and how to copy their moves. Blue Mages can learn special moves from monsters that have hit them.

Dungeon Masters are the only Time Mages. Time Mages can use Dimensional Magic, which has to do with speeding up, slowing down, and otherwise mucking about with time and space to achieve one's goals in the game. They can predict when comets and meteors will fall and cause them to fall on monsters.

But not everybody wants to be a wizard right? We need some good fighters!

All of this is from Final Fantasy Five, which I'm basin this game on.

Now, we need four people other than me to begin playing. I think one other person has spoken up at the Questions forum... let me check.

That would give us three people, we'd need at least one more. Some real world friend of mine might wanna play. I'll ask them next time I see 'em.

Can I use Final Fantasy classes? I like Dragoons...

Sort of.

You have to pick Warrior, Wizard, and Thief. A Dragoon would be either a Warrior or Thief, pick one. That would make you a Warrior Dragoon or a Thief Dragoon. You can be a Thief Banana-Split-With-A-Cherry-On-Top and have abilities like throwing whipped cream all over your enimies at this point. It's free-style!!!

That is, if the DM lets you, and since I'm DM for the first game at least, that's ok!

We're still making all this up.

DMs don't have to be the only Time Mages anymore.

Also, Blue Mages are the same as Summoners.

OK, welcome everybody to the start of this H2G2 RPG That I Haven't Named Yet. Things generally get started in taverns, so I went and built the first one. Alternate taverns could also be started as conversations at this entry, but worlds have to be new articles, and quests will be conversations at those articles, don't have a complete quests here please. Anybody can start one, but I'm gonna wanna start the first one, so everybody make an entrance at Nerd42">F117258?thread=259633 and I'll see what happens, play it cool, and an NPC (non-player character) should enter the tavern within a week bearing ill news which shall call forth the new heroes made here.....
