You lucky little . Seeing the space shuttle launch!

Well, I hope it goes well, for you and everyone else involved!

I think it goes something like this.

Porpoises (or dolphin) are cute intelligent oplaydul large aquatic mammals like the one on the TV show named Flipper.

Dolphins (or mahi-mahi in Hawaii....dorado in Cuba) are beautiful irridescent gold/green fish that mostly hang out in the ocean mostly under surace floating clump of seaweed becuse they like the shade.

For the benefit of confused tourists, we call now call fish meat from fish dolphin "mahi-mahi", hoping they will order it from the menu.

But what's in a name?

There is a Ft.Lauderdale movement to rename dolphin fish sandwiches as "flipper sandwiches". I hope....they can't be serving porpoise....

Phred, it's Lauderdale! Proper thought is not allowed there, though mind alteration is promoted quite heavily. Heck, I meet and married my first wife there.....shoulda got hitched to a dolphin instead

Damn launch got delayed because of a bunch of scaredy s and a fuel cell thingy. I think.

They might launch it Saturday, they said, so I may just be able to see it yet. I can certainly understand them taking precautions though, and I didn't even think of the launch when I came down here, so it was just a happy coincidence. Happy to give it up too.

Jodan, you can work the delayed launch to your advantage. You need to start a movement to move the launch site to Ohio. No hurricanes, and I'm sure could be put in charge of QC.

I hate hotel lobbies.
I'm sitting on a couch next to a door. Before the door is one of those buttons for handicapped people that opens the door for you. It has a wheelchair figure on it. I've been sitting on the computer for a half hour or so and all of the touristy people have pushed the button while walking quickly, as if it was something they made a habit of doing. Not opening doors.

An older fellow with a cane walks by slowly, whistling a tune and smiling, and I think 'Finally, someone that the button was intended for.' He passes right by it, and opens the door himself

I'm sure there is a moral in there someplace. Yeah, we have more able bodied folks using the elevator than we do elderly and disabled people. It appears that the younger generation is much lazier than their parents and grandparents.

Moral? I just thought it was a nice story

By the way, H, the weather's crappy. Which is one reason I'm in this thread with you fine people.

I did not see much effect from Dennis here... but Orlado wasn't anywhere near the eye of the hurricane. I did see a blown off highway sign, but I think that's it.

I'm glad Dennis missed Orlando. I'd hate to think of Mickey in danger.

I am hungry for carrot cake. But I am trying to do without wheat for a couple of weeks to see if I am allergic to it. I am hoping that I'm not. Anyway, I'm not baking anything.
