Deep Breathing

I've found that since I started taking a yoga class that I can reduce my stress levels at the office and on the commute by slowing down my breathing and taking the breath right down through my chest to my diaphagm, before filling my chest [ribs expand] and upper chest [shoulders lift slightly].

If you pause for a count of one or two at the end of the in-breath and out-breath, it really can slow your heart-rate down and start to reduce blood pressure. The brilliant thing is that you can feel results within a copule of minutes.
When combined with a full hour's session once or twice a week and complemented by aerobic exercise to get the endorphins running around, even a middle-aged grump like me can magically transform into a human!
