A state of war exists between Analiese Farthing Wing and the government of the United States of America.
Whereas the United States government has failed to meet it's commitments under the Treaty of Ruby Valley as detailed in this entry, http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/A944408
And whereas all cessions of territory under that treaty are therefore null and void,
Analiese Farthing Wing demands that the United States government and it's taipo (non-Newe) citizens leave the Great Basin within 48 hours or face the consequences.
Now, since Analiese Farthing Wing is only an army of one with just a .22 pump and a doublebarrel shotgun, she isn't likely to be able to force this ultimatum unilateral unlike some parties we know. She therefore is asking for assistance from the International Community in removing these international terrorists from the Great Basin, her ancestral homeland, forthwith.
Thanks for your support and you're at liberty to comment on or question this if you want.

There's an obscure Canadian book called "Bordering on Aggression" which outlines suspected American plans for the invasion of Canada (should it ever be necessary) and the planned Canadian military response. The parallels to your situation in the Great Basin (and to other situations in the world) are quite startling. Basically, the idea is that the Americans would push north with a large force, and the defenders would make an end run around the American Left Flank, fighting their way down into the aggressors heartland, hoping to hold out long enough for the international community to come to their aid. I hope you don't have to face that with only your 22. But maybe some of the aggressors will get shingles.

Analiese, I very much thank my fate that it made me meeting you! Thank you for all the words you said up to now I could listen to.
From the heart, skugga

Now I know that I'm a white woman from the UK, but I'll stand by your side in the fight against the Evil Empire Analiese.
Got a spare .22 pump?

And, in their own feeble way, the country to the north and the country to the south are apparently standing up to the common enemy.

I understand your anger and need for justice. Is this a very smart tactic however during a time like this. Stating you have weapons and declaring yourself at a state of war with country and people you live amongst?
Sarcasm can be misunderstood. I have read some of you posts and home page and you have much anger. While anger can be a motivator it also poisons the one who holds it to close to their heart.

I'm sure in the hysteria of the moment, some will actually take this so seriously as to respond as you have, Echocharlie, or maybe worse, but it is precisely at this time that this should be expressed.
Those who claim righteous indignation against the atrocities of others while commiting the same sort of atrocities in their own country have something to learn about integrity I think.

Actually, White Woman from the UK, I don't have an extra .22 pump on account of I don't got a enormous or even moderate defense budget.
So I was kind of hoping for donations in that regard, but since the United States is the largest weapons dealer in the world, and seems determined to remain so by obliterating competitors, it was sort of a vain hope probably.
Besides, as one of the 1970s era AIM activists noted, you can't fight tanks with pop guns, so I guess my military options are sort of constrained, even with the most graceous help of White Woman from the UK.
However, your gesture is most appreciated and I'm confident you can find other weapons that might work better, weapons of reason rather than of war, that will finally convince decent people that the United States needs to honor its treaties or give the land back it obtained under them.
If a nation presumes to speak for the conscience of the world, the people of the world maybe ought to be sure that speech is genuine, don't you think?

Maybe there can be someday, Anhaga, a great confederation of peace among the people of Anahuac and Dinetah that will finally crowd the greedy people inbetween into acknowledging the proper way to share the continent?

Well, I note from the calendar on the wall that the 48 hours are up, Echocharlie. Are you afraid yet? Is anyone afraid about what Analiese, the Army of One, might do to the great imperium of the United States? Come on now, be honest.
I do have a question though. Since this is a just war, I think I should only target military installations. The problem is that they are so well defended that civilian targets would be much easier to attack. That puts me in a moral quandary sort of. Do I attack the civilians in an attempt to radicalize them against the government? Or do I sacrifice my military advantage by constraining myself to "hard targets"?
Any thoughts on this?

Just so nobody gets the completely wrong idea, none of this should be interpreted as sponsoring war, even mine against the United States. Clearly I have neither the inclination nor the wherewithal to attack anybody. I've posed this thing as a way of discussing the issues of war that can't be discussed within the context of the current international crisis but ought to be discussed I think. Please bear that in mind.
Also, please bear in mind, that however helpless I am in this war against the United States, my cause is just and would be presumed so even by the Holy See if I did have the inclination or wherewithal to prosecute it, if recent official statements are any indication.
Since war really isn't an option in furthering this cause and hasn't been since the 1860s, it's maybe necessary to examine what other options might be pursued to bring about a resolution. That's the real challenge here, but for the time being, the state of war should be seen is a sort of place holder until we can find something practical to replace it with.

Hey, Analiese, here's what one of our government ministers said about the gentleman you're aiming digestive troubles at:

(this is also an example of what I've been mentioning to you on another thread: Mr. Dhaliwal, our Minister of Natural Resources, is a native of India. We have a varied and welcoming society up here.)

It kind of suggests, does it not, a possible future scenario in which in order to keep Haliburton in the country rebuilding business, countries must be demolished on a more or less regular basis?

News Flash: Analiese, the Army of One, admitted today that her military options were severely limited by a noticable lack of conventional weapons as well as weapons of mass destruction. This accounts in no small part for her failure to attack anyone or anything after her 48 hour ultimatum was summarily dismissed by the United States government.
She has been forced, consequently, to adopt WMDs (Weapons of Magical Destruction) that are currently being targeted on the American government leadership. She expects any day to hear that her arsenal of spells has rendered that leadership incontinent among other things.
This probably won't be reported by CNN, or MSNBC, but you should probably be looking for clues such as the excuse for why the President didn't address the public lastnight because of an extended bathroom break, possibly brought on by overindulging in pretzels and Pace Picante Sauce.
This will be confirmed when the government of the United States sues for peace, at which time Analiese, the Army of One, will dictate terms, and we do mean DICTATE!!! She's learned from the best, the United States government after all, so there should be few surprises for them. Indeed, Analiese may become known to military historians as US Farthing in time.
We'll keep you posted as we become aware of developments in this fast breaking story. Please stay tuned.

I guess there's no pleasing you is there, Echocharlie. It's either too serious or not serious enough. Maybe you better tell me what you really think regarding the claims? I don't want to have to presume facts not in evidence.
