Do you happen to know why they have all that smoke coming out of the sewers?

I used to spend a lot of time in Seattle and I don't recall a lot of smoky sewers. Perhaps like Vancouver B.C. they have a central steam distribution and so you see some steam coming from various leaking valves and such.

That might explain it. I was there a while ago and I happened to notice it.

it is steam, sort of. the air in the sewer is warmer then the air outside often and when it hits it it does that. sort of like seeing the sewers breath.
