'Dream Dissection' - a tribute

Thanks for waiting for it, but I’ve got my dream ready now for your *analysis*:
In my dream I was pursuing someone or something. I ran after it for what seemed like miles through darkened streets, fields and buildings. I didn’t know why I was chasing it; I just knew I had to. Most of the time I couldn’t see where I was going but it was almost as though I knew the way it was going to go. It was only when I reached a forest that we stopped. The bizarre creature that I had been chasing stopped and faced me, I’m not sure this is the right way to describe it but I felt a sense of longing, for the chase to go on, without ending. I don’t know how long we stood there, staring at each other but I remember a sudden pain behind my eyes and then blackness.

this is a dream of pursual. chasing something down. the 'creature' reprsents your goal.
you know where it is going and what it will do. this shows you are confident.
the sense of longing for the chase is actually common. Dido sung to be a hunter again. meaning to go back to the part at the beginning of a relationship, to chase down the prize and live the moment of the catch again. we all love that anticipation where we know the other person is in our grasp and it is just a matter of time. of course that moment is only good after the chase is over and the outcome complete
are you in a relationship and is it getting too boring? do you feel life needs a kick start?
the sharp pain behind the eyes, in my opinion, is reality. look at what you have. do you need to keep chasing?

No, I'm not in a relationship. My life doesn't need a kick-start but it does need a good kick up the a***.

ok, so there is a girl you like (cos it is always about girls) and you have done so for a while. you feel the chasing is almost overbut in some way you fear the catch. you are not sure what to do.

Quite the little psychiatrist aren't you. About 4 years ago I did psychiatry GCSE, but I wasn't that good.
So, you reckon that there is a girl involved, but I'm not sure what to do now. Hmm interesting....

your silence speaks volumes
it is either a girl, or a really important goal. they seem to have a similar effect on the mind.
i have never done psychology/psychiatry. i did philosophy A'level and learn from my own life
so am i close?

I think its the really important goal, not the girl. I promised to put my eduation first and leave GFs till later.
