I love Christmas. It is such a time to catch up with friends withwhom one has lost touch.
Today, just such an email arrived. I had met this lovely friend Denise B. about forty years ago in Africa. She was a new bride - she had just arrived from France with her French husband and could not speak a word of English When My husband arrived home and told me about this young couple who had arrivsd in Cape Town and knew no=one, they were quickly adopted by Dick and I as an extension to our family.
They bought a house very near us, and were really like extra childrem. sadly she was widowed very young and after I was widowed and came to live in England we motored around France on Several lovely holidays. Then suddenly we lost touch.
Today, once again we are in contact and so many happy memories are flooding bnack.
Thank you my so dear Denise for remembering your old friend.

My memory is more than a little faulty, Shea. 
Last night I paid for my groceries with an ATM card, then left the card on the counter when I went out with my groceries. I had to go to lost and found today to see if they had my card.

I believe that of all the friends who have replied so far, you are the friend/researcher whom I have known the longest. That is a great honour for me. !!
Great to hear from you again. I hope you are are keeping well and that married life suits you admiraby. fulfillingly and most if all with a great deal of 
!!
I am desperately trying to get myself in gear in order to complete at least some of the uncompleted tasks to which I have wanted to write "The End". Mind you it is taking me so long to edit my writing that I shall need another 200 years. !!
