New PC RPG in development.

There's a new RPG, "Nordlandinga Saga: Hrolph's Tale", in development. It's like the old 2d FF and Dragon Quest games. It's for the PC, although a Mac port is planned.

It's very early in it's development and doesn't even have a demo done yet. Also the graphics are in a preliminary stage and are fairly generic. Various bits can be tried out and if people are interested I can give them a link to a recent development snapshot.

Also when there's a demo ready I'll let people know where to find it.

Well the story consists of several smaller quests that lead on, from one to the other. The introduction-ey bit is not yet done but probably about 30%-50% of the first quest is done.

It has a medieval-northern european-high fantasy type setting much like LoTR, Dragonlance, Greyhawk etc. Primarily germanic in it's tone.

Apparently, while testing out the main dungeon for the first quest, it was discovered that you needed to be at least around Lvl 10-15 to stand a good chance to make it through to the first boss, let alone defeat him, and due to the excessive amount of leveling up that would require the dungeon was made easier with substantially weaker enemies.

I've also been informed that a demo version, consisting of most of the first quest, will be made available A.S.A.P. Also anyone who plays the demo and decides to get the full game should be able to copy the save file from the demo into the folder containing the full game and keep their stats.
