Are those imaginary?
Maybe the Researcher means Ley Lines?
I did a Google search and got this:
The term "ley lines" was coined by Alfred Watkins when explaining his theory that ancient sites around Britain had actually been constructed or formed giving alignments between and across the inhabited landscape of Britain. The sites mentioned include Stone Circles, Standing Stones, Long Barrows, Cairns, Burial Mounds and Churches.

well the lines aren't exactly there are they??? I mean if they are imaginary lines on the earth then they could be longitude and latitude, ley lines, or even contour lines!
Longitude and latitude= used on maps and given in degrees away from Greenwich, England. These lines are used for navigation.
Contour lines= used on maps to show height of land. Given in metres above sea level they join up points of equal height.
Ley lines= (see above)

I guess you're right about them being imaginary, Kat! I guess I'm just so used to seeing them on maps, I assumed they weren't imaginary!

Personally, I think the imaginary line of the earth that I like best is ...
"We're from the Government and we're here to help."

Imaginary lines as used in various metaphysical theories and magical theories. Also the lines of magnetic force that birds, insects and animals seem to sense and use for direction and homing. These also are followed or show as the aurelius boralis during flux storms.

Ley lines are Traditonally beleived to be "Lines of Power"
The pictures in the Desert seen by Erich Von Daniken as evidence of Alien Presence on Earth have now been proved to be Ritual Procession Tracks.
Ley Lines are believed to be lines that follow the magnetic field variations of Earth.
So a "Ley Line" is a Stone Age ritual processional route that probably follows a Field Variation in the Earth's Magnetic Field.
I hope this helps.
PS, I am not a Druid, but they are probably where this started.
