Just resist the urge to look outside or do anything apart from stare at the spot where your computer should be. There's a big scary world out there and you may spot a window, don't look through it!

Hi Terri! I was just wishing Spim happy birthday on another thread! Are y'all going out to dinner or doing something special to celebrate? What time is it over there? It's half past midnight here.

Another comment from another thread - yes, I'm not sure whether I want to continue with both church groups. The Unitarians wouldn't mind if I hung out both places, but the Catholic group might be upset. I dunno. For right now I'm just kind of playing it by ear. But having fun!

Well, as for celebrating, it's a bit difficult 'cos we are rather short of cash, spim moving here from UK isn't cheap obviously plus we are looking for another place to live; so we need to save as many pennies as poss.

BUT the Circuit des Ramparts begins today in Angoulême, it's a very famous vintage car race, they refer to it as "Monaco without the sea"; so we are going up into town to mingle with the hoi-polloi & behave like tourists!

(I am trying to fool spim into believing he will be chosen to present the prizes seeing as it's his birthday, the thought of being sprayed with is making him dizzy!)

Anyway, we have decided since it's difficult to do justice to each other on our "real" birthdays this year, we are going to have An Official Birthday later, ie when we have a bit more money & time!

Whatever, we will enjoy being together, it's a bit like birthdays & Christmas combined round here at present!

Micio is her usual sweet and furry self. Letting me rub her tummy, tickle her under the chin, and scratch behind her ears several times a day. Right now she has exited her rooftop cat door and is out exploring. Who was it that said the quote, "God created cats so that we may have the pleasure of caressing the tiger?" I love that quote, and I can't remember who said it.
