h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I finished this http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m274/Reefgirl3/Misc/DSC00007.jpg about a month ago. It's my project between projects throw, all in all it took me about 18 months, I now have a bed spread on the go

Wow, that's seriously impressive.

Thanks, it's lovely and warm too, the night I finished it I took it upstairs to show my mum, the conversation went something like this

"Ooh that's lovely and warm, that's really nice"

"It is, isn't it, I had it over my knees when I was sewing it up"

*Starts to gather it up to take it back down stairs*

"No, no, don't do that, you might trip on the stairs, leave it here" *starts to spread it over the bed*

So the first night was spent on my mum's bed and as spent several nights covering my sister up. That's why I'm making a bed spread of my own now

Excellent Coral, how many will you have to dobefore you get one for yourself

were doing the "fine" thing, but a little cold this morning and yours?

I'm making something similar, but just one huge square. It's cream coloured cotton, and every 9th row is coloured. I'm just using up ends of yarn that I already have so the coloured rows are a bit... mismatched.

But this one is for me, me memememememe! (I made one for #1 when she was a baby, #2's baby blanket was finished when she was about 5 - but they are both cot-sized. Mine is supposed to go on a double bed... wish me luck!)

oh and I meant to say - Reefgirl - I really like it. Smaller squares are much nicer than one big one. I'm just too idle to stop and then to sew them all together at the end.

Sho: I fell in love with the one Alex had in her cot at the hospital and I wanted one for her but I couldn't crochet at the time and neither could anyone I knew. I like the big one's too, I made my sister a blanket out of little squares and I was sick of them by the end.

I've done all the knitting and crochet for others for a while, mum's got a new hat and gloves, Alex has a new hat and my sister has new socks, that should be it until next winter

years ago shortly after moving in with(a nameless one)I got a neighbour to knit me a willy warmer
