Though I have membership and they take money out of my account each month I've not been so far this year.

Just haven't been able to handle the idea of it. Travel to Crawley or Brighton. Brighton with all her ridiculously good looking people, Crawley with it's Chavs.

Apart from my GP and my mother I've not had an actual conversation with a real human being since January.

There are still lots of new people joining every day, but mos of them you never see again. No idea why that is.

I've used hootoo for six and a half years. Met two girlfriends here made few friends that I still have at least some contact with.
Leaving aisde that I can find it hard to put in my fair share of what's needed to keep in touch. So many folk have drifted away from here and I know of no place that is quite like this place used to be.

It was like that when I was ACE, most accounts never had anything done with them. But at least there were still significant enough proportion that did come back and find a place somewhere on hootoo to do their thing... even it was just lurking for months before suddenly becoming part of things.

I think sometimes you come to hootoo at the wrong time... I certainly did way back when Adams died... I left a tribute, wandered around for a few days but I didn't get the bug at all.

Hello, I am *new* and am thinking that it is a strange place this hootoo.

On the one hand there are some really friendly, cheery folk here who are welcoming, and on the other there are some who snip and act cliquey.
I have a very thick skin, so have not been put off, and I am also noisy, so add comments and ask irreverent questions. I think if I were touchy I might have disappeared by now.
