OK. When I left for my mother's on Friday this machine was refusing to power on at all. It's on right now, obviously, but it has crashed 4 times in the last 20 odd minutes, already. I expect I'm gonna have to take it off to be looked at ... and it just crashed [Firefox stored the previous] ... I'll be taking it to Brighton on Tuesday, after getting a reference number for it over the phone on Monday, with any luck. And with [a lot maybe] more luck I'll get it back a week on Thursday working and without a repair bill.
When I called about it on Friday Cancom were taking the position that it's none of their problem. Even though I bought an extra 2 years of warranty on January 12th of last year...
I'll see about getting a subscription to use the internet at the Library on Monday and try and drop by whilst the infernal machine is gone.
In other news, it seems I have to find £142.23 to pay for a bondage teapot. The guy that outbid me has pulled out.
I had been thinking spending the money I "saved" by losing the auction on tickets to see Wicked, Spamalot and Avenue Q.
But, nevermind I get a cool Robert Rankin collectible based on the cover of Snuff Fiction.
Though I admit what I really wanted was the Voodoo Handbag. Which I would have happily paid even more for that. This price of £142.23 for the teapot, I only forgive myself for because I'm buying from friends.
If I'm shafted with a repair bill for the iMac, I will not be a happy chappy.
I forget what else I was going to say... which probably means it was more important than anything else... Hoom.

Sorry to hear about your trouble with the Mac. I hope it will work out as you expect it to do.
Nearly £ 150 for a teapot seems to be a lot of money to me
which reminds me- will you come to the meet?

It is a lot of money!
That's why it sounds a lot. Because it is. Like I say I only forgive myself it because the bondage teapot is coming to me from Robert and Sally via my friends Tim and Loz. So my cash is going to friends who have been so good to me.
I don't know if I will be at the meet, yet. We'll see closer to the time.

Do not tempt me! Just don't!
I'm wishing you good fortune with your own inconvenient non-sense.
Be well!

Yep. I now own a bondage teapot. That cost me a 140 quid. The guilt and self-loathing has set in. But not to the degree after I spent the same on an impulse buy of a "Klingon Sword". I still feel angry with myself for that.
I keep thinking that the teapot represents the bulk of the cost of the tickets to see Avenue Q, Spamalot and Wicked.
Or a good third of the cost of a ticket to Michigan.

Just under a meter of steel and blades. You should get that past Her Majesty's Customs easy.

I saw the pic of the teapot. Brilliant! I'll have to invite myself over for a cup of at some point. Just keep the klingon weapon away from me...

I bought some Twinings "Wellbeing Blends Infusions" Camomile, Honey & Vanilla flavour teabags today. However the teapot isn't going to meet them, or ever be used for a brew as long as it's mine.
You are still welcome to invite yourself around for a nice cup of tea.
The little teapot for anyone that hasn't seen it already looks like this http://i3.ebayimg.com/03/i/000/86/b6/68d0_1.JPG

For use in the Klingon Tea Ceremony!
Tis 5 of 20 bondage teapots made by Robert Rankin and Sally Hurst. Based on the cover artwork for Robert's novel 'Snuff Fiction'. Which is a muchly enjoyable book.

Of course it is. I'm a man of great taste. Just a little lacking in decency.
