My cat takes a tablet every night!!
It has taken 5 years for us to come to an understanding though.
I rattle pill bottle.
He jumps on chair
I give him tablet without a fight. (and currently ear drops too)
He gets nice food for supper.
The flaw is when I have run out of nice food. As once he has had his pill he he expects treats and pesters me for a long time - which fuels my guilt of having forgotten to buy some.
For the first 7 years of his life vets, nurses and anyone passing could not get him to take a pill
