I don't know where I should post this, so here seems as good a place as any.
The other day after browsing some entries, I clicked on the author's space to find that they have been given a lifetime ban from the guide. Including several accounts that had been set up to cause trouble. No problem.
Today while I am looking at the whose online screen, I can see one of the alias' is online. On the user's space it says account closed...
I'm confused
The particular account I am refering to now is U183869
Anyone<?>

I also spotted this earlier, and also didn't know where to point it out. See F86513?thread=182329 (I have not succeeded in drawing attention to this yet)

Banned people can now be logged on and online, but are unable to make any posts (or create or edit entries). I'm not sure how helpful this distinction is...

Is that so? How odd. Is this just to taunt them (and us) do you think?
(to FH):for the reasons in this case, see A717851, but generally speaking it is for repeated and/or major breaches of the <./>HouseRules</.>

Well done for spotting it. Lucinda is quite right, banned Researchers can log in, they just can't post or create entries.
