h2g2 is becoming unusable for me with constant "Server Too Busy" messages. Do the techies know the reason? Is anything being done?

Yes, the techies are aware. It was apparently an issue to do with Search - looks as though it's resolved now. Apologies for the fluctuations in service!

is this is realted to the problem i am having doing serches? anytime i type in a word to serch for it returns with no resuts answers.

If we're having problems with the servers, usually the first thing to show a problem is the Search... hold on to your hats, everyone - it could be a bumpy afternoon!

I lost an article I was editing yesterday and today I'm gettin errors all over the place. This is getting ugly.

Right now about half the time, the site is giving me, "You can't post until you've logged in" while at the same time showing "Hello Nerd42" at the top of the page! 
Aah!!! A bug!

If you can see the name at the top of the page, it's separate to the SSO bug, I believe.

"That is the worst we ever see by the SSO Server; the login name on top and 'you are unable to submit, first login' as contents. The next step in breakdowns in just 'Server Too Busy' or '502 error' or 'Ripley configuration error'. All of wich we have seen this morning .
Can you give 'Elton' a belt to keep his trousers up ? I guess there is the problem, he can not run with them on his ankles.

I have no idea how h2g2 works other than it shouldn't be doing this crap.
