The good news is that it doesn't crash with spurious junk appearing in the listing.

The bad news is that it just doesn't preview or update at all. It just returns me to the UserEdit screen when I press either of them.

Can I ask what browser and skin you were trying to preview in?

I just tried the preview a few times and it worked fine for most of the requests but then I did have it not do the preview return to the UserEdit page and the text in the entry box had been cut off half way through.

We're investigating.

It's impossible to update the PS as well

During the last week I've tried umpteenth times using three different PCs, two browsers (Firefox and IE) as well as two different OS (XP Home and XP pro)... and nuttin' works...

Might be helpful (?) to mention I had a problem yesterday with something like Icy was describing on first page of this thread.

I posted a large new Entry (>9000 words...yeah, don't ask why people should want to post 9000 words. You're all as bad as Gnomon). It was copied from Microsoft Word into the 'Write an Entry' text box. (I was in the Brunel skin and running IE6, if that's relevant). It didn't generate an error when I tried to Preview, just refreshed the page with the text box now truncated and the end garbled. Same thing happened when I tried to convert to GuideML too.

I haven't tried again since. I guessed it was an oversize limit problem and asked about the limit on the Gurus page. WM put me onto this.

I even tried to update in alabaster but no difference

I hit the preview button, nuttin' 'appens... try again- no result or get a PS with just text complaining about bad closures or such - even though I just changed a smiley or so, replaced a thingite calendar with another etc.

Utterly frustrating!

Just remove about half of the stuff you have on there and it should work. It did for eme when I edited my PS.

I didn't suggest you were expanding it. I suggested you shorten it if you want to be able to update it.

I haven't seen anything about a size limit.

It's a bug.

I thought you had read the back log in here. If you currently want to make changes, you'll have to shorten your PS.
