Imperial Intelligance was a joke back in the days of Emperor Palpatine, there were civilian groups looking over the shoulders of government groups, Navy and Army groups looking over each others' and everyone elses shoulders. Now it is all unified into one group and two main divisions. Imperial Intelligance is made up of Direct and Indirect action groups. The Inderect are actual spies, and Direct action groups are more like James Bond, who is more of a commando than a spy. The Psi Chorps has been integrated into Imperial Intelligance after its break up during the Psi War of 2270.
