First of all: is there anybody out there who really agrees Tom Jones' version of "Kiss" is better than the original? Isn't it rather a hilarious attempt to rejuvenate himself?
Anyway, some suggestions of covers that beat the original:
- Nothin' compares 2 U (Sinead O'Connor, original: Prince)
- Hallelujah (Jeff Buckley, original: Leonard Cohen)
- I just don't know what to do with myself (White Stripes, original: Burt Bacharach)
- Mrs Robinson (The Lemonheads, original: Simon and Garfunkel)
Any reactions?

The Jeff Buckley one, definitely.
I'm not sure on 'Nothing Compares' because I really don't like the song, or either of the artists, very much at all.
