Guns 'n' Roses - lots of their stuff is really listenable cover songs.

I know where you're coming from on the Nellie the Elephant one, but I have a touching fondness for the original, so no.
As far as Guns n' Roses goes, the only one I'd seriously consider adding is Knockin' On Heaven's Door. The jury's still out on this one.
