Anarane, that is precisely how I feel about it. They want to control the rate at which the characters age. I'm sorry, I thought kids went through puberty and stuff at that age. And I think I also learned in Health class that kids mature at different rates. If you ask me it would be pretty stupid of them to go through recasting all the characters if the kids playing them are willing to continue on with it.

i think some things have to change according to what she's written though. like harry's growth spurt at the start of book five (i think it was harry).

true, but lets face it - who honestly cares about something as trivial as that...

only two harry potter books left...
kind of makes you sad. Do you think Rowling will keep writing after H.P? Technically i think she should quit while she is ahead, because other books might not live up to harry potter and it would kill her career. So would quitting i suppose...
what do you people think?

She has already mentioned she is writing other books. And I don't think she should quit, I love writing stories and I feel that if just one other person likes my work then I have achived my goal of entertaining someone. And besides, JK is clearly a good writer, if she stopped after HP she may become known as a one-hit-wonder

She originally published as JK rowling because her publisher thought that kids wouldnt buy the books if they were by a woman, so he made it suitably hard to tell. i think thats a little annoying.
