The other side of this coin, is that now if you search 'francis bacon' you get 'the ghost chicken of highgate' causing the average reader to assume that the search engine had hiccuped and move on, which is too bad since the entry has a great deal to do with Bacon.
I think that whittling the title to fit the engine is as procrustean as it sounds and worse, too easily leads to a kind of bland uniformity.
As much as it galls me, I'm going to have to agree with Matt and even go so far to say that I did prefer the original title, even though it was his.
I think it'd be better to let the title get hammered on during PR and go with whatever the result is - within the limits of feasibility, of course, as I have no doubt that Matt would try to be unfeasible.
