this post is a bit confused, abdominal aneurysms are very different in epidemiology and aetiology from intracranial aneurysm so it would be erroneous to say that intracranial aneuryms most commonly cause problems in white males over 55 for example

also for dissecting thoracic aneurysms (although pathologically these are not aneurysms) transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography are very useful, esp TOE
